After crossing the landmark of 1 billion mobile connections in 2015, the Indian market is near is peaking around 1.143 billion connections as of March 2023.
India lost 32 million mobile connections since the peak of 2017 till March 2023.
According to TRAI, India witnessed a continuous decline in mobile phone connections in the last five years from the peak of 1.176 billion connection in 2017.
After a decline of 1.4% in 2022, number of mobile connection grew by 1.4% in 2023 to reach 1,158.5 million.
