Within India's booming beauty and personal care sector, hair care stands as the largest product category currently valued at around $5 billion. Driven by natural hair products, shampoos, and oils, hair care accounts for nearly 27% of overall BPC sales. The market is expected to exhibit continued robust growth thanks to product innovation, premiumization, and marketing focused on long, healthy hair.

The bath and body segment follows closely behind at around 23% share of the BPC market. Soaps, shower gels, creams, and lotions fall under this expanding category as Indians spend more on bodily hygiene and grooming.

Major brands are now targeting niche bath and body areas like hand washes and men's grooming. While still smaller than skin care, India's bath and body segment will post steady gains with rising consumer spend on specialized products beyond just soaps. Between multinational brands and homegrown players, competition within hair care and bath/body is fierce for India's blossoming personal care industry.
