Despite Explosive Order Growth, Blinkit’s Ticket Size Plateaus Around ₹520

Blinkit’s average order value held steady at ₹524 in Q2 FY26, marking a 1% YoY decline even as volumes surged. With frequency and category depth driving growth, Blinkit’s order value stability signals a shift from impulse to habitual, everyday use — a key indicator of platform maturity.

Blinkit’s average order value (NAOV) stood at ₹524 in Q2 FY26, nearly unchanged from ₹521 in Q1 FY26 and marginally down 1.3% year-on-year.

While volumes and transacting users have surged sharply, the average ticket size has remained stable between ₹510–₹550 over the past six quarters.

The flat trend reflects a mix shift - higher frequency of smaller basket purchases and growing adoption of low-ticket convenience orders across metros and Tier-2 cities.

What It Means:

Blinkit’s order size stabilization signals a mature quick-commerce consumption behavior: customers are now using the platform for routine, low-value needs rather than infrequent bulk purchases.

This normalization suggests Blinkit’s next growth frontier lies not in basket size expansion but in higher order frequency and category diversification (e.g., gifting, beauty, home).

The consistent NAOV also underlines Blinkit’s pricing discipline despite inflationary pressure - crucial for sustaining margins at scale.
